We organise training for commercial farmers and growers, and small food producers across Ireland. Trainees include those aspiring to convert to organic production, and experienced organic producers who want to improve their skills or diversify into new areas. Through our programme of courses we aim to increase indigenous production and encourage producers to take advantage of new market opportunities.
AN objective of the NOTS programme is to work with groups to devise customised training in specialised areas. Examples might include organic dairy farming, organic poultry, and organic processing, alternative meat production, routes to market, value-adding. The training needs will be determined by groups of producers and processors. Contact us with your specialised needs and ideas.
We can provide customised training delivered in-house on your own premises or in your chosen county. Examples of customised training include IT, Corporate Governance, HACCP, upgrading to Organic Standards, Organic REPS. Let us know and we will be happy to advise, design or co-ordinate training to suit your needs.
All courses are subsidised and therefore offered to you at very reasonable prices. Courses are held in local training centres and on farms, and are delivered by experienced trainers and experts in the field. As courses can only be run with a minimum number of participants we encourage you to book early! or register an interest, we would be delighted to recieve expressison of intrests for new courses that would help organic business development.
