1 day Organic Conference

The National Organic Training Skillnet is hosting a 1 day Organic Conference on Tuesday the 3rd March 2009 in the County Arms Hotel in Birr, Co. Offaly.

€50 - 1 day incl lunch for producers/farmers/processors
€100 - 1 day incl lunch for other attendees incl Trade Exhibitors

Course Content:

The main theme of the conference is "Marketing in the Organic Sector: Opportunities and Challenges". The conference will address marketing and adding value at farm level as well as direct sales. In conjunction with the conference there will be a "Meet the Buyer Event" where registered organic producers can for a low cost have an opportunity to showcase their product range.

In addition through our "Speed Dating" section there is an opportunity for both new entrants and exisiting organic producers to access free specialist advise in areas ranging from marketing, finance and conversion.

The Conference aims to cover all areas of marketing organic and will feature the following:

  • Case studies on linking with the restaurant sector
  • Innovative niche market ideas
  • Internet sales
  • Packaging
  • Distribution
