Introduction to Farmers’ Markets
This course is aimed at anyone interested in setting up a Farmers’ Market or attending a Farmers’ Market as a stallholder.

Course Content:
- Introduction - Irish and European comparisons, consumer approach, value to local trading centres
- Set up - Location, size, stall holders selection, cost, customer base, funding, size level.
- Management – Promotions and product range, code of conduct, management and ownership, income, training, insurance
- Operations - The issues, product quality, stallholder’s legal and ethical requirements
Outcomes:
You will gain an understanding of the issues, challenges and opportunities in establishing and selling at Farmers’ Markets using current market information and regional case studies.
